Golam Kibria Farooki, is a screenwriter and filmmaker from Bangladesh. He began his career in the film industry as an assistant director to the renowned Bangladeshi filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. He is also an active member of 'Chabial,' a new wave cinema movement production house of Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. He has worked on numerous critically acclaimed films such as 'Mother in a People's Republic (2023),' 'Third Person Singular Number (2009),' 'Television (2012)' and 'Ant Story (2013).' During these productions, he has held multiple roles such as executive producer, production designer, and chief assistant director. In 2018, he directed and edited his first international short film, 'Sounds Good,' as part of an omnibus production titled 'Sincerely yours, Dhaka,' which was produced by the Bangladeshi production company Impress Telefilm Ltd. The short film was received with critical acclaim and served as a testament to my exceptional filmmaking skills. He also made television dramas such as 'Puraghotito Bortoman', 'All About His Mother', 'Bikroyer Jonno Nohe', 'Chinigura Preme'.
