Wes Rehberg was born in Los Angeles CA. After dropping out of Fairlawn high school, he joined the army and was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in Fort Bragg NC. After leaving the military he went on to Montclair State , U.C.L.A., and Pratt Institute of fine arts. He continued his education in his later years when he went to Binghamton University and he received his Phd. Aside of being a movie maker, he is also an accomplished artist, and a retired Methodist minister and a retired journalist. He has four children and is married to Eileen Rehberg.
