DeMar Richardson

An incredibly versatile filmmaker, DeMar Richardson began his work in the entertainment industry in 2004 with the formation of his own label / music production company "The Danger Room". With several artists under his production, DeMar had his hands in all facets of the company, including producing and promoting the artists. This led to DeMar contributing not only the beats but also a visual representation of the music by also doing videos for the artists. This eventually led to DeMar jumping headfirst into film making and the formation of "The Danger Room Cinema", a film production company that created the underground hits "Survival of the Fittest" and the post-holiday horror flick "Black Friday" DeMar believes "If you want something done right you have to do it yourself", By running his own company and having his hands in everything DeMar learned a great deal about the industry on all fronts. This led to the co-founding / formation of The South Carolina Film Group in 2008. Performing a multitude of functions such as producing, editing, writing, acting, cinematography, and of course music production, The South Carolina Film Group's first collaboration yielded the successful film "Close, but Closer". As of Spring 2009 DeMar operates his own production company (Danger Room Studios) where he has several new projects in the works. DeMar doesn't believe in making projects "Inside-the-Box" as he believes "There is no box". With this mentality he always challenges and pushes himself to new heights in whatever he does.
