The daughter of a diplomat, Emily spent her childhood bouncing around the globe. She graduated from University College Dublin with a Masters in film, while apprenticing under U2's editors Brian McCue and Dan Gannon. After returning the US, Emily co-founded Fishtown Films with her long time collaborator, Austin Elston. They have won multiple awards for their independent films, progressive political ads, and documentaries. But marking art alone was not quite enough, so Emily's passion and respect for the environment inspired her to create the very first Zero Waste film studio. Fishtown Films focuses on creating film using sustainable practices and inclusive messages. Its mission is to tell representational stories while showcasing a new style of filmmaking - one that is significantly less wasteful than the norm. Their feature film, Citywide, generated only 16 ounces of trash total from pre-production through post. Citywide will be released in 2022. Make Art. Not Trash.
