Born Lawrence Alfred Ervin Jr. at Ft. Meade Army Hospital in Maryland, Larry is the second of three children and the only son of Lawrence Senior and Hazel Wilhelmina Ervin. His father was a US Air Force Communications Specialist and as with most military families, traveled throughout the United States, Europe and Far East. Living on Air Force bases for most of his youth, he became fascinated with aircraft and photography. By the time Larry graduated high school, His family had lived in nine different places including the Azores, Japan and Alaska, where he and his family survived The great Alaskan earthquake of 1964. His father retired after his final tour of duty in Japan and moved the family back to their home state of Maryland. Larry missed the military life he had been born into, so he enlisted in the United States Air Force soon after completing high school. There, he served as a Combat Airdrop Specialist. He was awarded the Air Force Commendation medal for his meritorious achievement while in Zaire (Congo) and as part of "Operation Bright Star" in Egypt. He was honorably discharged in 1980. Larry attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he earned a bachelor degree in Aeronautical Studies. He would later earn a Masters in Aeronautical Science while working as an Senior Quality Engineer at the Boeing company in southern California. He met and married his wife Michele who had passion for film making that rubbed off on Larry. Together they co-founded Silentnoise Productions and made movies in their spare time. Their debut project was TRESS: Artists and Angels, Masters of Natural Hair (2015) Larry retired from Boeing Aerospace in 2015 and now devotes all of his time to film making. He is a producer and actor that continuously seeks creative, challenging, and robust production opportunities that allow him to create engaging and effective content.
