Mikiech Nichols

Mikiech Edwards Nichols was born in Frankfurt, Germany, but moved to the United States with his American mother before he was even a year old. His mother fueled helicopters for the U.S. Army until shortly after his birth, while little is known about his German father other than the fact that he was in a biker gang called "The Nomads". Although his name is a misspelling of what it ought to be, Mikiech (pronounced like "meek-ish") was named after a character from a 1930s Czech children's book about a cat that talks and rides a motorcycle (in Germany the book is called "Kater Mikesch"). Growing up on the west coast of the U.S., he was obsessed with drawing and writing short stories, which eventually turned into making comic books, and eventually developed into a passion for filmmaking. In 2006, he graduated from Vancouver Film School in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In 2011 he moved to Seattle, Washington, where he started a band called The Screaming Multitudes. Since then he has been working on various film projects in various departments. Mikiech loves to act, as well as write, direct, and edit.
