Nathan Faustyn

Nathan Faustyn was born and raised in Detroit, MI where he studied film at Wayne State University and continued to live and work until just before 30. While in Detroit, Nathan ran a gallery (MassiV) opened, operated, owned and programmed a movie theatre (The Burton Theatre) and began writing and performing comedy with the comedy troupe Loose Meat. After the theatre was forced to relocate, Nate left for Los Angeles to perform with and contribute to Everything is Terrible in the evenings, while working in film acquisitions for Strand Releasing in the daytime. Nate is on the board of various film festivals, and has spoken on panels around the country about independent distribution, all the while producing comedy shorts, web-series and podcasts for the Loose Meat, Everything is Terrible, Meow Wolf and Highland Park TV banners, as well as working commercially as an actor on occasion. Most recently Nate started directing music videos, most notably a trilogy for Domino Records' band Protomartyr including the sage and eerily predictive video for "Processed by the Boys" In 2022 Nate can be seen portraying the Penguin in the wildly imaginative film THE PEOPLE'S JOKER directed by Vera Drew, and his upcoming starring role in Brian Kamerer's SADDLED.
