Gregory David Voigt was born in Philadelphia, PA to parents Mark William Voigt (an attorney) and Mary Anuzzi Voigt (a local theater and cabaret artist). Greg's father, an avid baseball fan, wanted Greg to play baseball for his extracurricular activity. But, Greg chose acting in Germantown Academy's Belfry Theater a more appealing option. After several years acting in Belfry productions, and some occasional modeling, commercials and local television and film productions, Greg developed a passion for directing. At age 14, he met writer/producer/actor/director, Tony Spiridakis and began studying at the newly formed Manhattan Film Institute. Through MFI, Greg wrote, directed and edited the short films, "The Dock," "Interrogation," and "Lockdown." "The Dock" was accepted into the Long Beach International Film Festival, among others. "Interrogation" was accepted into the International Student Film Festival Hollywood. In the summer of 2015, Greg was accepted into the prestigious USC School of Cinematic Arts' summer film program. There, he wrote, directed and edited the short film, "Familiar." Greg graduated from Germantown Academy in 2016, receiving the Head of School Most Talented Student Prize (Male). 2017 attends Boston University pursuing a dual degree in film and business.
