Amber-Rose Henshall

Amber-Rose Henshall was born in Auckland, New Zealand where she started working as a young girl on the locally filmed Xena Warrior Princess. She studied dance and acting from the age of 5 competing nationally and performing in stage shows. She completed her Performing Arts Certificate in 2004 and spent that summer filming as a surf lifeguard for local TV show Piha Rescue and TV Commercials. While working as a choreographer, dancer, adjudicator and dance teacher she was auditioning for locally filmed American TV shows and then in 2009 She performed in 'Cats' The Musical at Auckland's Grand Civic Theatre. In 2010 Amber moved to London where she worked as a dancer and actress in live shows, music videos, TV pilots and short films, while also picking up new skills like green screen and motion capture performing and stunt doubling. In London she performed with the National Youth Theatre in 'Slick' as a high wire aerialist and also started training in mixed martial arts. in 2011 she moved to Tokyo to Perform as Aerial the Little Mermaid in Tokyo Disney Sea's 'Under The Sea' Show. After Performing over 800 shows in high wires and studying Aikido in Tokyo Amber-Rose moved to New York to study acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In 2014 Amber-Rose moved back to Auckland as a freelance performer and started training in Meisner Acting Technique while continuing to dance professionally, study martial arts, race in triathlons and run the Auckland Marathon. In 2015 Amber-Rose starred as Puck in Auckland Summer Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and as Ann in Chrisopher Hampton's 'Treats' she then went on to work in local Television Crime Drama The Brokenwood Mysteries and play the lovable Bad Girl Lizzie Elliot in TV Show Shortland Street. She is currently based between Auckland and Sydney and continues to work as an actress, aerialist and stunt and in 2017 Amber-Rose performed for Auckland Theatre Company's physical theatre Show 'A Wild Seed Thief' while also starring in local Short Films and stunt doubling. Her years of sports and a passion for the outdoors mixed with her professional work and diverse skills from training around the world lead her to stunt work in New Zealand, appearing in major US Fantasty shows in guest stunt roles and motorcycle stunt doubling for local films. Amber-Rose is an Avid mountain climber, Rock Climber, hiker, scuba diver, motorcyclist, aerialist and adventurer having grown up surfing, snowboarding, hiking, trail running, camping and riding her motorbike the whole way around New Zealand. Action, aerialist and physical theatre are a natural fit for this daredevil Actress and Dancer with a passion for fighting and exploring.
