Laura Mannino is a TV and digital writer, stand-up comedian, actor, activist and the girl you ask to watch your stuff. As a stand-up, Laura has appeared at every major club, minor dungeon, former strip club and current yoga studio in NYC and LA including BuzzFeed Live, Funny Women Fest LA, LA Comedy Festival, UCB Theatre and more. Credits include Consulting Producer on MTV's reboot of "Loveline" starring Amber Rose, Creator and Executive Producer of the short form series, "Stacey and Wanda" and sketch writer for Awestruck's "Asshole Parents." Laura has also contributed to projects for Disney Television Animation, Viacom Velocity, A&E Networks' social media, Ora TV, Cartuna, ACRONYM, Digital Podcast Network and the collection "Women's Comedic Monologues That Are Actually Funny." Laura's original half-hour pilot, "Bomb" placed in the second round of the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition and was a Final Draft Big Break and PAGE Awards Semifinalist. Her short, "Ten Minute Decade" screened at the Big Apple Film Festival, New Filmmakers NY and was a finalist at Hammer Museum's Open Projector Night. Laura also won Best Actress in a Short Film from the Sunset Film Festival. A founder of Drain The NRA and Los Angeles For Warren, Laura had the honor of joining the Warren For President campaign as a field organizer in Los Angeles. She is writing and directing sketches with the all woman digital sketch collective, My Internet Friends. Laura is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she studied at the Atlantic Acting School. She also completed UCB's improv and sketch programs and studied television writing at Script Anatomy. Laura lives in Highland Park in Los Angeles with her husband, son and label maker.
