Valerie is the visionary behind GloRoc Productions LLC (circa 2014) and VALJTUC Management (circa 2006). As owner of GloRoc Productions and VALJTUC Management, Valerie has combined a potpourri of skill sets from CEO to Producer to booking agent to publicist in her management of Caleb Quaye and The Faculty, Hawkins Jazz Collective and formerly The George Lesiw Band. Her varied life experiences and street savvy, along with her formal education and expertise from decades of employment at the top echelons of the news and entertainment world, have made her an extremely effective and fiercely respected individual in the entertainment industry.. If her clients' talents are the engines that propel their success, Valerie's drive, intelligence and amazingly diverse abilities are the fuel that provides the thrust. From overseeing production, promotion, distribution and marketing of content, and actually staffing the crew, Valerie's extraordinary skill, boundless stamina and infectious personality have proven indispensable to those she represents. Ms Tucker is a 9 time Emmy Award winning television news Producer/Editor for her "Songs Of Our Success" Black history series hosted by Tony McEwing for the Los Angeles FOX O&O KTTV Channel 11 from 2000-2009. Ms. Tucker worked for Fox 11 Morning News and the Emmy award winning Good Day LA as feature entertainment producer/ editor from 1995- 2010. Prior to her tenure at Fox 11, Ms. Tucker worked as an editor at KNBC upon her arrival in Los Angeles in 1992. She began working at KCBS-TV in 1993 as an editor/camera person (most notably working with Harvey Levin (TMZ) during the first OJ Simpson trial) until 2001. Ms. Tucker began her career in New York City in 1981 where she worked for Video Productions Inc. as a producer/editor of TV Record Offer commercials, editing of television specials and music videos for C&C Visuals. Supervised overseeing the international conversion of the Soap Operas "Ryan's Hope" and "Loving" for RAI Italian Television, as well as "The Galloping Gourmet" and "The Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon" for European markets in conjunction with Fremantle International Inc. for VPI, Inc. In 1989, Ms. Tucker was hired as an Editor for "Crimewatch Tonight", a nightly nationally syndicated news show for Orion Television. While at Crimewatch she took on the additional duties of Photographer/Field Producer for feature stories. In 1990, Ms. Tucker was hired at WNBC-TV in New York as an Editor. In 1991, she transferred to "The Today Show"/NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw remaining there until relocating to Los Angeles. In 2001, Ms. Tucker won the LA Press Club award for best documentary for "After Foster Care, Now What?" for which she served as Sr. Producer. Nominated in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2009 for a Los Angeles area Emmy award for "Songs Of Our Success" Black history series. Winning the award as Producer in June 2001 and Senior Producer in September 2003. Ms. Tucker has won seven (7) Emmy awards for editing dating back to her tenure at KCBS in 1996. In 2010, Ms. Tucker served as Creative Consultant on "Kink Crusaders" a documentary about the Leather community and Folsom Forever (2014) both produced by Third Rail Media. Both films are currently being shown at film festivals worldwide and available on DVD. Ms. Tucker is executive producing a documentary about legendary rock guitarist Caleb Quaye (Elton John, Hall & Oates) called "A Voice Louder Than Rock" as well as working on several other projects in the film and television industry. Ms. Tucker is a native of Norwalk, CT and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications in 1981 from the University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut. Ms. Tucker currently resides in Orange County California
