Lin Zhu was born on 22 October,1987 in Wuhu,China. Her father was a teacher and a reading enthusiasts,and her mother was a senior accountant. Having learned to read, she was more fascinated by her father's huge bookcase, especially the complete works of Shakespeare and French literature, than what was taught in school. Lin studied musicals when she was 10. There was not much opportunity for drama in her birthplace Wuhu, so Lin moved to Hangzhou with her parents when she was 14. A short experience in a local mini TV play as an actress made Lin become interested in acting and script art of film. After graduating from Communication University of Zhejiang in 2007 with a bachelor degree in Film and Television Performance, Lin was previously signed to Zhejiang Hengdian Film Production Company. After starred in and produced about 20 films and TV series, Lin felt unsatisfied with the Chinese market, and began to explore the international market. After working with Australian and British film teams,she established her own production company named Juliet Film in 2017 and stopped working as an actress to officially carry out the project as a producer. In almost 14 years, she has amazed film and TV series audiences with her magnificent performances in 33 Postcards (2011), Cold Steel (2012), Bian Di Lang Yan (2012), Meet the In-Laws (2013), Susu (2017) and a dozen TV-series. She was widely reported in China to have won the STAR HUNTER Asian New Talent Award at the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival, and the Golden Dragon Award Best Actress at 2012 International Chinese Film Festival. Except as an actress, Lin participated in the production of Yangyungu Production Company's 24-episode TV series Fighting Girl, which was launched on multiple platforms in January 2022 and ranked No.27 on "Cat's Eye"(a professional platform for collecting data on popularity, hits, box office, etc. of all film and television projects in China, similar to China's "IMDB") and the highest viewing of 68.56 million. And Lin's Company signed a production cooperation contract for a 48-episode TV series New Generation, The series was broadcast on Beijing TV and Dongfang TV, as well as all major platforms of iQiYi, Tencent and Youku on June 16, 2021, with a highest viewing of 81.81 million.
