Peter O'Brien was raised in Mill Valley, California, and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in English. Peter's original script, Unlocked, made the Black List and was released in 2017. It stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Douglas, Orlando Bloom, and John Malkovich. Veteran filmmaker Michael Apted directed. As a screenwriter, Peter has numerous feature projects in development: These include an adaptation of Robert Ludlum's The Chancellor Manuscript for director Marc Forster, the thriller Line of Sight for director Ben Affleck, the psychological thriller Trust Your Eyes for director Todd Phillips, and The Jury for 20th Century Studios, based on Peter Morgan's British TV series. Peter has worked extensively in video games. In 2019, he was Story Lead on Golem, a pioneering Virtual Reality title from Highwire Games, developed for Sony PlaystationVR. In 2012 he was Writing Lead on Halo: Reach, the fourth installment in Bungie and Microsoft's iconic video game franchise. Oscar winner River Road Entertainment (Twelve Years A Slave) is producing Peter's latest script, Peril, which chronicles the true story of the first woman to command a merchant vessel around Cape Horn. Peter is also attached to direct his Brazil-set MMA crime thriller, Cut, with an eye on the growing Latin American market.
