Johnny Kera

Born in Culver City California to Croatian parents, John has been a fan of movies and television ever since he was a child. His mother introduced him to classic films of comedy and drama as a child and exposed him to other forms of art such as photography, painting, and acting. John went on to study film at Columbia College of Hollywood and drop out to pursue a career in acting instead. He studied acting at Los Angeles' Lee Strasburg Theater Institute and went on to perform in small plays. After that, John attended the University of La Verne earning a B.A. in political science and economics. While in college, John got an education in politics by running for mayor in 2006 in his hometown of Rancho Cucamonga while attending the university. Upon graduation, he started his own advertising and public relations firm to work in the entertainment industry as a publicist for production companies. He started several production companies before creating J Kera Media where it focuses on independent film and TV projects. With a background in PR and advertising, he has a way of attracting attention to the media and creating a PR campaign to draw a crowd. John quit acting and follow his passion as a producer, writer and director.
