Oleksandr Novichenkov (February 5, 1985, Kharkiv, USSR) - Ukrainian-American Actor and Producer who has worked internationally and in Hollywood as well. Some of the films he produced received awards at the Cannes Film Festival. Oleksandr has also modeled, is renowned for his soccer playing, and was a member of a group from Ukraine that showed an installation at Burning Man in Nevada. First career steps Oleksandr started his career at age 20, starring in music videos for Tabula Rasa, Valeriy Meladze, Vika Antonova, and a duet by Valeriy Meladze and Anastasia Prykhodko. That was his first collaboration with famous Ukrainian director Alan Badoev. In 2005, he met well-known director Oleksandr Anpilohov and started his Producer's career in "AK Films" as a Production Assistant in the "Revolution Aurora" documentary. The successful partnership continues to this day. Education In 2006, Oleksandr enrolled at Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Karyi University of Theatre, Cinema and Television; with a specialty in Actor of Theater and Cinema. His Course Master was Bohdan Stupka - Hero of Ukraine, People's Artist of the USSR and Ukraine. Starting from the first year of his university education, Oleksandr Novichenkov worked in numerous Kyiv theaters: Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, Kyiv Theater, and Kyiv Theater of the Young Spectator. Acting In 2007 at the invitation of world-renowned movie director Krzysztof Zanussi, Oleksandr traveled to Poland and performed in a theatrical production of the famed Shakespeare play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Oleksandr Novichenkov undertook a creative team internship at the Moscow Art Theater in 2008. The play "Seagull" by A. Chekhov starred Oleksandr as Treplev and was shown in Moscow. Oleksandr Novichenkov then got an invitation from movie director A. Malyukov to the casting of the movie "We Are from the Future - 2" (by film studio Mosfilm). Plays with performances by Oleksandr Novichenkov have twice won awards at international festivals. "Seagull" by A. Chekhov Performances saw Oleksandr win the Grand-Prix of The Youth Theater Festival "Apart" (Saint - Petersburg) - while his part in "Viy - Terrible Revenge" based on plays by N. Gogol won the Grand-Prix of The International Theater Festival "Golden Lion" (L'viv). While studying at University, Oleksandr Novichenkov starred in such television series as "The Ex" and "Return of Mukhtar." He also starred in the movies "Dependence Day," "Zagrava," "Who Is Who to Who," "Brother for Brother," and "Crocodile" (France). The movie "Crocodile" was featured at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010. Oleksandr starred in the music videos of famous Ukrainian and foreign artists and commercials for several major brands (such as Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Dannon, Huawei, Samsung, Sherry Auto, Tuborg Green, etc.). Top designers have repeatedly invited him to fashion events as a model of Kyiv. His work has included "Ukrainian Fashion Week," and photo modeling for magazines "Men's Health" and "Vogue." Oleksandr conducted an acting master class for participants of the "Star Factory 2" project and Ukrainian singer Natalia Mogilevskaya. After graduation, he was invited to work in the Kiev Drama Theater on Podol, where he had been an actor prior to 2012. The artistic director of the theater is Vitaliy Malakhov, a People's Artist of Ukraine and winner of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize. From 2011 to 2012, Oleksandr attended the acting course at New York Film Academy at Universal Studios, C.A. He then starred in numerous student films - "Blood Money," "Year Alone," "Gold Turkey," "The Axe Effect," and several others. In 2012, Oleksandr Novichenkov as a part of Ukrainian show business stars' team (Maestro Soccer Club) participated in the international tournament "Eurofan 2012." He was recognized as the best forward of the tournament. The team ranked second and received the silver medal, and the tournament was widely covered by TV channels and media. The team put on concerts all over Ukraine, playing soccer before the performances. From 2013 to 2014, Oleksandr continued starring in the series "When the Dawn Comes," as well as numerous music videos and commercials - including an interactive project aimed at the war on drugs. The project, entitled "ReDay" won the Grand Prix at the Kiev International Advertising Festival. For this part, Oleksandr Novichenkov got the Gold Medal for the best acting/dialogue and monologue.The video went viral on YouTube. During the first week it was viewed 1.2 million times, appeared in more than 200 publications, and won multiple awards at various international advertising festivals. During late-2014, Novichenkov came to Los Angeles to sign an agreement and prepare for the shooting of the film "Tyranny" with actress Olga Kurylenko. The project is currently under development. Producing In 2006, he worked on a second documentary "Political Corpse" as an associate producer. From 2007 to 2008, in addition to studying at university, he worked on two projects at the same time: as an assistant producer for documentary "Year. How Much Is It?" and as a producer of the television program "MTV Made" (UA). "MTV Made" launched in several European countries, but only in Ukraine thanks to a highly qualified team of professionals who were able to produce high ratings. Novichenkov was then invited as a producer to work for "Bluescreen production." Also during 2007 and 2008, together with Oleksandr Anpilohov, Novichenkov created two seasons of the automotive program "AutoCity" - a television show dedicated to test-driving cars. It also includes a tutorial section on counter-emergency preparation (driving safety). In 2009, Oleksandr worked on his first colorization film as associate producer of "Only Old Men Are Going to Battle." Finally, in collaboration with "Opera Film" and "Formula-Colored," he restored and colorized such movies as "Officers," "Podkidysh," "Volga - Volga," and others. In 2011, Oleksandr Novichenkov produced and starred in the movie "Diary of My I". The film was selected for the "Short Film Corner" competition at the 64th Cannes Film Festival. Oleksandr was an associate producer of the film "Land of Oblivion" with Olga Kurylenko in the lead role. The film took part in more than 50 international festivals. He has repeatedly been invited to organize and conduct such events as weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and presentations for known businessmen, politicians, and philanthropists. In cooperation with the US company "Global 3 Pictures," Oleksandr was an executive producer of the colorized version of such films as "Officers," "Only Old Men Are Going to Battle," and "Beware of the Car." In 2014 - 2015 Oleksandr Novichenkov took the lead role for create program "PL Spice" for colorization with US company Passmore Lab. In 2015, Oleksandr Novichenkov took part in the international festival Burning Man in California - 2015 as a part of the Ukrainian team, producing an art object "Love."
