Russell Wyndham was born in Mobile, AL on December 22, 1982. He has an older brother and a younger sister. His father is a minister and his mother is a mental health professional. His parents are married and they moved the family to Kentucky when Russell was 7 years old. Russell's performance career began in the area of music. He is a skilled pianist. After appearing in musicals and other stage works in high school, he began to pursue acting in college as he worked toward a Music degree. Soon, he was landing local TV, radio, and print jobs. He has enjoyed a small role in a nationally released Christian film, In Mysterious Ways, as well as several other smaller national roles. At the regional level, Russell is best known for his role in The Mega Cavern commercials aired in Kentucky and Indiana. He is also respected for his many lead roles in independent short films, such as the award-winning film, "R.A.S.H." (Best Dialogue, 48-hour Filmfest, Louisville). Russell continues to pursue his acting career, and regularly lends his voice to radio commercials in the Southeast. He can also be seen in a commercial for Maker's Mark bourbon, available on the web. He landed a major role on 1 episode of Investigation Discovery's "Unusual Suspects". Russell is very interested in politics and served as the on-camera spokesman for the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers, a non-partisan group dedicated to improving business legislation in the state. After a major medical crisis in 2013, Russell stepped away from the entertainment industry until 2020, when he re-signed with his agent and began rebuilding an acting career. Russell is divorced and has one son, born in February of 2011.
