Aaron Truss is an award-winning director and producer best known for '(K)nox: The Rob Knox Story' and 'Cult of VHS'. Aaron studied at Thames Valley University and spent over a decade working in post-production, creating original content for IMAX and Sony Pictures. In 2010, Aaron produced the anti-knife crime short film 'Cold Kiss' with director Nirpal Bhogal and starring Ray Winstone. In 2018, Aaron partnered with The Rob Knox Foundation to produce and direct his feature debut with (K)nox: The Rob Knox Story, which then sold to Woodcut International in 2021. The documentary follows the life and murder of his close friend, Rob Knox, who appeared as Marcus Belby in 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince'. The documentary went on to win best documentary at several film festivals, including the London Independent Film Festival 2021. In 2020, he joined the team at Strangelove Films to executive produce 'Cult of VHS', a documentary focusing on the age of VHS, eccentric collectors and the video nasties that became the center of a controversial debate on censorship in the eighties and nineties. Aaron is an anti-knife violence campaigner and supporter for 'The Rob Knox Foundation', 'Lives not Knives' and 'The Midi Music Company' as well as a judge at the annual Rob Knox Film Festival, which is held every year at Cineworld, Bexleyheath.
