Daniel Smukalla

Daniel Smukalla is a cinematographer and time lapse photographer living in Seoul, South Korea. After graduating from Columbia College Chicago in 2008 with a B.A. in Film and Video with a concentration in cinematography, he moved to Seoul. While living in Korea, he has worked on a wide variety of projects including narrative films (shorts and features), web series, documentaries, as well as with several broadcast networks from around the world. His experience as a cinematographer has allowed him to work with an assortment of formats and cameras from 35mm, 16mm, HD, 2K, and often these days, 4K.
