Adam Scown

Adam is a graduate of Brent Street School of Performing Arts in Australia and has worked internationally as a singer, dancer & choreographer. He has worked extensively in musical theatre in Australia and the UK and has also performed in many commercial and corporate shows in Dubai, China, Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Bangkok, Croatia, Austria & Shanghai. He was Assistant Choreographer and Dance Captain for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony 2014. He also performed in the Australian handover ceremony at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games Closing Ceremony as one of the infamous Kangaroo Boys and as a featured tapper in the Eternity tap segment at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. He has danced with, and vocally supported, artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Tina Arena, Rogue Traders, Kele LeRoc, Marcia Hines, Caroline O'Connor, Kate Cebrano and many others. He has toured across the UK with Broadway singing sensation Natalie Weiss and also has produced his own sell out London show 'Afternoon Tea With the Stars' with his entertainment company Strictly West End. His musical theatre credits include Assistant Choreographer on Cinderella (Qdos Panto 2012), Assistant Choreographer & Dance Captain & featured vocalist on Gotta Sing Gotta Dance (UK Tour), role of Ricky in The Thing About Tom (Original London Workshop Cast), role of Napthali in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK Tour), Sugar (Original London Cast), Hellsing (Original London Workshop Cast), High School Musical (UK Tour), Dirty Dancing, The Boy From Oz (starring Hugh Jackman), Grease, role of Sonny in Aloft, Shadowbox & Aladdin the Musical, role of Chambers in Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs. He is well known for the leading role of Sal in the UK Tour of "Oh! What A Night!" He also performed in the Australian production as swing. He has also worked on, The Rock and Roll Boys Club, That's Jewish Entertainment (Upstairs at the Gatehouse), Bette Midler & Me (UK Tour), Nominated for "Best Choreography for a new musical for the Broadway World Awards 2015 & 2016 for his work on Savage (Arts Theatre West End), Norma Jeane (Lost Theatre London), Devilish! (World Premiere Landor Theatre London), Parade (London Theatre Workshop), Toys (Original London Workshop Cast), Die Fledermaus (Opera Holland Park), Choreographer on the world premiere of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Royal Opera House & Holland Park Opera), Noye's Fludde (Aldeburgh Opera), Co-Director & Choreographer on Peter Pan, Director & Choreographer on Rent (Tabard Theatre London) in which he won The Broadway World Award 2013 for 'Best Direction of a New Production of a Musical', Being Ivor (Original London Workshop Cast). Adam has also recorded numerous voice overs for commercials in Australia such as 3Mobile UK, QANTAS, Nivea UK, Fosters Beer, IBM, David Jones, Nutella, Nissan Cars and McDonalds, as well as modeling for leading swimwear and underwear labels for both the UK and Australia. He is Creative Director for contemporary dance company ESC and is also part of the global Creative & Casting team for Universal Studios.
