Babita Modgil is known as a non-conformist producer. She is known to produce hard-hitting films with topics that are unexplored and not delved into. Her love for art of filmmaking and calling for unconventional compelled Modgil to open up her own production company, 'Camel Through Needle Films', in 2012. She produced her first documentary, 'Belly of the Tantra', in collaboration with 'Pankaj Purohit' and 'Onward Entertainment' which has significantly sparked much controversy in India. Having produced exceptional documentaries including "Belly of the Tantra" ( 2012) and "Tathagata"(2013), currently Modgil's next film "Sudden Cry" revolves around human trafficking in India and overseas. Modgil strives to create stories that are not only informative but also stretch humanity and morality of the individual in society.
