Michaela Müller

Michaela Müller was born in St. Gallen, Switzerland. She graduated with an MA in Animation and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Croatia and holds a diploma as drawing and crafts teacher from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland. Müller's multiple awarded animated short film, Miramare (2010), made its international premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and has been screened at more than 150 international film festivals. The film won 18 awards, among them the Grand Prix at Animateka Festival in Ljubljana, the Centaur for Best Debut Film at Message to Men Film Festival in St.Petersburg, the Spirit Award at Brooklyn Film Festival, the Swiss Film Prize for Animation etc. Just as Miramare, Müller's 11min animated film Airport (2017) is also a paint on glass animation and took 3 years in painting time.
