Michael L. Jackson

Born Michael L Jackson on September 19, 1973, in San Antonio Texas At the age of one with his mother Lois moved to Detroit Michigan till the age of seven where they returned back to San Antonio where he was raised, as a young child Michael had a love for filmmaking, but it was during his teen years he watched a 60-minute report on an up and coming African American filmmaker by the name of Spike Lee promoting his first studio motion picture, School Daze. As the result of watching the television report, Michael was exposed to African Americans' involvement in several different aspects of filmmaking. A torch was lit and his passion for filmmaking began, starting out as a production assistant for the San Antonio-based production company "Cibolo Films", and working on over thirty local and national television commercials, while gaining hands-on experience from seasoned professionals. In 2008 established" Idle Time Cinema" an independent production company, in which he directed and produced several music videos and a local Television show and independent film projects for clients in the area. Soon after he partnered with "JRAD Productions" to produce a stream of independent film projects.
