J. Simon Allen is an American screenwriter and director. His first film, "Mr. Marceau," a magical realism fable about a reclusive clock-collector who's lost all concept of time, is a multiple award-winner, including Best Film, the Emerging Cinematographers Award and the Panavision Feature Film Grant. It has screened in New York and Los Angeles, and in cities on multiple continents, including the prestigious CameraImage Festival in Poland. His second film, "The Condemned," a dramatic western - told with language that exists somewhere between Shakespeare and Sam Shepard - explores morality and death in a sweeping, barren landscape. Allen's projects in development span multiple genres and platforms, including a one-hour drama series, under option, and Mean Old World, a timely feature film, which will be Allen's directorial debut.
