American actress Parris Franz, otherwise known as Parris Fluellen was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She has made appearances as a recording artist on marketplace standards such as BET, Soul Train, MTV, and MTV Europe, as well as Europe's legendary 'Top of The Pops' show. She has also graced the pages of heavy hitting publications Vibe, Cosmopolitan, XXL, Ebony, Honey, Right On, and The Source "First Round Draft Picks" roster. Her impact has been nothing less than strong, Pelle Pelle Leather Company and Al Wissam clothing company exclusives signed her as their official spokesperson. Her debut album, "Dear Diary" on Noontime/Epic Records featured industry heavyweights Nas, Ja Rule, Jermaine Dupri, Jagged Edge, Juvenile, and more. Other career highlights include work on the Martin Lawrence movie soundtrack "What's The Worst That Can Happen" on the song "Stickem". She is also featured on the song "Heat" with R&B group "Absolute", and Kelly Price for the popular movie "Hav Plenty". Post album release Parris Franz was an on-air personality with Clear Channel and Hot 102.7 for Radio One Detroit, for four plus years before taking her sabbatical from radio to again pursue her artistry. For her listeners, she had become their ambassador of the good-life. Her charming demeanor makes her approachable and her fabulous lifestyle seems accessible. If listeners wanted to party with some of the country's top tastemakers...they attended her club nights. Which soon made her the most requested for parties and events, and led Parris Franz to hosting high profile social, soirees such as an event for Super Bowl XL, The Red Bull Soundclash, private events for repeat client; Joe Dumars, award shows, festivals, and more. With songs under her belt with artist such as Akon, Ashanti, Royce 5'9, Big Sean, Polow Da Don, Bryan-Michael Cox, Jermaine Dupri and J-Dub of Bad Boy Entertainment her star is shinning brighter than ever. But in spite of it all, throughout Parris Franz's career she has always fed her fueling passion for acting, starting early by attending acting camps and courses regularly at Michigan State University. As her career began to bud she starred and wrote on several episodes of 'MTV's: The Lyricist Lounge Show'. She then went on to appear on an episode of 'Tyler Perry's: Meet The Browns' popular television series, as well as one of the most notably acclaimed and anticipated sequel movies; 'Stomp The Yard 2: The Homecoming'. Parris Franz has co-starred in films and short films such as the Matthew Cherry directed, 'This Time' as "Ta'sia", opposite actresses Reagan Gomez and Terri J. Vaughn and more, as well as the film 'Office Outbreak' as "Sasha", a candid news reporter. Her television credits include 'Christmas Cupid', and 'A Cross To Bear' (which aired on the Lifetime network) as the villainess best friend "Tasha." She was recently casted in the lead role as "Mari Rodriguez" for a powerful stage play entitled, 'A.I.M.: Angry Insecure Men', written and directed by Angel Terron, on domestic violence awareness, where she received raved reviews for an outstanding and poignant performance via press and media. The stage play will also be soon turned into a film with her starring as the lead. Previous theatre roles for Parris Franz include co-starring in the famous 'Soul Kittens Cabaret', opposite Tatiana Ali, Angie Stone and more. As well as, the hit stage play 'My Brother Marvin: The Marvin Gaye Story' and in a defining role as a black panther in an artistically profound playwright on rapper Tupac Shakur's mother Afeni Shakur entitled; 'Afeni Shakur: In Her Defense', directed by Hilda Willis.
