Simon Brook McLachlan, is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). He is a Sydney-based artist trained in theatre, television, film, music theatre, voice-acting, and singer. He also holds experience in dance and photography. During his primary school years, McLachlan studied drama, and music, training in singing and learning to play the saxophone. After graduating from NIDA, he did a stint with the Jigsaw Theatre Company and later picked up work as a voice in a puppet show. He made his screen debut in 2010 in an episode of the war drama The Pacific (2010). The following year, he was able to showcase his saxophone skills for an episode of Underbelly (2008). Back home, his stage work includes performances for Capitol Theatre Sydney and Peach Theatre Company. His musical skills frequently appeared throughout Australian screens in bands including 3M, Subway, Big brother, Aerogard, and Holden. Between 2011 and 2013, McLachlan was featured in a couple of short films including Lie to Me (2011) and Boxed In (2013).
