Having a lifelong fascination with the art of cinema, Tychicus Vasquez, began shooting short films in his early teens. After graduating from Richmond Hill High School in New York, Tychicus moved upstate to attend the State University of New York, Albany. There he was employed as a Television Director for their college station. During this period, Vasquez produced three original series and worked closely with musical director, Charles Valataro. He then moved to Los Angeles in the summer of 2005 to work on an independent short entitled, "The Nanny" directed by Angelo Bell. Following this, Tychicus studied at the Art Institute of Los Angeles. During which time, he was also employed as a Story Assistant for Platinum Studios and before moving on to become a Publishing Coordinator under the supervision of Sean O'Reilly. It was here that his ambition to become a filmmaker was solidified. In the winter of 2008, Tychicus received an award for Best Director. Tychicus then went on to serve as the Second Unit Assistant Director for Luximation Film's The Clockwork Girl and has since completed production on his highly praised film: Prelude to Bedlam.
