Amalia May Valle (aka Amalia May), is a multi-ethnic actress and writer from Miami, Florida. After graduating, she moved to New York City to study with the late, great acting teacher, Robert X. Modica. Mr. Modica had been the teaching assistant to the great Sanford Meisner himself and his classes in Meisner technique were intense and extraordinary. During her time in New York, she worked in both theater and film. She worked at The Looking Glass Theater in Manhattan, and in several independent films that helped her hone her craft as an actor. She further went on the study in England at the respected BADA acting program at Oxford University. In 2016, Amalia filmed the web series "Without a Hitch", which she wrote, produced and co-starred in, along with an incredibly talented cast and crew. "Without a Hitch" is a comedy about two competitive friends who make a ridiculous bet to make light of the pressures they face as young women. The series was proudly featured in a story by NBC Latino upon its release and more recently, premiered at the Miami Web Series festival, winning "Best Screenplay". She is currently (2020) in pre-production for the film "One Percent", that she wrote and will play one of the lead roles in. Amalia divides her time between New York and Miami, enjoying the opportunity to work on projects in both cities.
