Aliya Uvalzhanova

Aliya Uvalzhanova has graduated from International Academy of Market and Law in 2001 in Kazakhstan. She holds a PhD degree in business administration from the Academy of National Economy in Russia. She was awarded "Best Manager of 2006" at the All-Russian Economical Contest and with "Ekaterina II" medal from Free Economical Society of Russia and International Academy of Management. In 2006, jointly with Mr. Cherdabayev, Aliya founded Aldongar productions/ Kazakhstan. which primary activity is film production, including: documentaries, feature films, corporate films, animation. Aldongar Productions/Kazakhstan is the first company in Kazakhstan that jointly with Russia created a series of documentaries Faces of Eurasia about outstanding scientists, writers, cultural workers and bright individuals of Kazakhstan for Russian TV channel "Culture" (Grand Prix, IX Eurasian TV Forum. Moscow, Russia, 2006). in 2007 Aldongar productions/ Kazakhstan in partnership with independent film company Oyu Art has created a feature-length film Boz Salkyn (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) - the prize-winner of many international film festivals. In 2008 came out a special pride of the company, the film The Gift to Stalin (Kazakhstan, Israel, Poland, Russia with support of "Kazakhfilm JSC") that was honored to opened 13th Pusan Film Festival. The film was selected to more than 30 other film festivals and won major prices. The Gift to Stalin was invited to become part of libraries and museums over the world including the American Library of Congress (Washington) as the tutorial and a humanistic movie from Kazakhstan.
