Elizabeth Steele hails from Jonesboro Arkansas. As the only child of Curtis and Caryl Steele, she spent lots of time dressing up, playing pretend, and directing Barbie soap operas, so acting seemed like second nature when she auditioned for "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and was cast as Veruca Salt at the age of 12. Elizabeth continued to pursue theatre during junior high and high school, acting in community and academic productions, and also attended the state funded Summer programs Summer Stage, an AEGIS camp, and Arkansas Governor's School for drama. She attended the University of Iowa, after receiving an academic scholarship, and left the Midwestern oasis of Iowa City four years later with a BA in Theatre Arts and a minor in Japanese. Elizabeth moved to Los Angeles and began studying at Playhouse West. For three years she studied Sanford Meisner's method under the tutelage of Holly Gagnier and Robyn Cohen, while pursuing a commercial career. Still with her original commercial agency, Commercials Unlimited, she's booked several national spots. In 2013, Elizabeth took Lesly Kahn's comedy intensive and technique clinic, where she found a community of supportive, aggressive, and slightly type A actors. She lives in Silver Lake with her rabbit.
