Richard Davis is a Canadian actor from Toronto, Ontario and is based in Los Angeles and Vancouver. He showed an interest in the arts at an early age. By the age of 5, he had worked on over a dozen commercials and landed a recurring role on the HBO Canadian series, Good Dog. Davis met George Pastic, the Oscar nominated director of the Violin (1974) just before his 4th birthday. Pastic became Davis's mentor in television and film, and the two forged a relationship that lasted up until George's unfortunate passing in 2014. Pastic's words and wisdom have remained a part of who Richard Davis is today. Although Davis has held the lead and critical roles in many dramatic films, his passion in comedy began with his experience on HBO and continues to be evident with his Stand Up performances at The HaHa Comedy Club in North Hollywood and The Ice House in Pasadena, CA. Davis is a graduate of Cool Beans University and Laughing Matters, and he also studied improvisation at The Groundlings, Second City and Durham Improv. Davis also enjoys hosting large events and has been the ongoing host and co-producer of Joey Awards TV in Vancouver B.C. since the beginning of 2019. Davis considers himself a philanthropist and feels strongly about giving back. After his younger brother was adopted from an orphanage in Russia, he felt heartbroken for the children remaining there and worked diligently to fund the building of a playground at the orphanage. Although his real passion is comedy, you can also catch Davis writing about everything politics and history, but often with comedic undertones. By: Team Richard Davis
