C. Boyd Motley

C. Boyd Motley (Chris) is a professional Actor based in New York (originally from Maryland). Chris is best known for his recurring role on the Indie Web Series ARCHIVES OF THE HEART. He has also appeared on The Discovery Channel series THE INTERROGATION ROOM and NIGHTMARE NEXT DOOR. Chris' work in Independent Film includes BEYOND KEPLER, FILE 6, MAN OF FAITH/12 HOURS OF TEMPTATION, AND DAPHNE. Born and raised in Maryland, Chris was always been fascinated with television and film, envisioning himself a storyteller working opposite the likes of Samuel Jackson and Denzel Washington. In 2008, and with no formal training, he decided to "take the plunge" into Acting finding nominal success. Early on, he landed various Industrial roles for THE GRADUATE SCHOOL, METRO-TRANSIT AUTHORITY, and THE CENTER FOR HUMAN CAPITAL INNOVATIONS (aka CHCI). While these roles were, at the time, few and far between Chris never doubted that he was Academy Award destined. His perseverance landed him recurring roles on local Indie Web Series ARCHIVES OF THE HEART and DIAMOND DISTRICT. Soon after, Chris realized that for his career to flourish, he inevitably would have to relocate to a more prominent market that would allow his creativity and passion to find NEW life-that place was New York City. In 2015, Chris moved to New York and continued to polish his craft by attending classes at SHIEK STUDIOS and attending workshops/scene studies as often as he can. When not acting, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, writing, cooking, painting, and studying the business of Acting. Now residing in New Jersey, C. Boyd Motley looks forward to working with Director's Ava DuVernay, Kevin Feige, Ryan Coogler, and JJ Abrams and dreams of one day working with MARVEL to bring to life one of their iconic characters.
