Ross grew up in Pontiac, Illinois. He developed an early interest in the arts and started performing at age six. Ross became actively involved in community theater, tap, ballet, piano, drums and numerous athletics. Ross later attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and moved to Los Angeles in 2010.
