Writer & director Philip Shaw was born in Buckinghamshire. He Graduated in 1982 from Amersham College of Arts. A chance encounter with legendary Hollywood Producer Elliott Kastner (Where Eagles Dare, When eight bells toll) lead to a friendship lasting till Elliott's death in 2010. With Elliott's encouragement Philip moved across from design & advertising to the moving image. A series of successful shorts, commercial/promos and TV work followed including "After War" a film about Child soldiers and where they are now. It was huge success for the Commonwealth raising over a $100 million.
