Edana Isobel Jamora is an Australian trained actress. Born in Auckland, New Zealand to parents David Jamora and Susan Jamora, Edana Isobel spent 6 years of her childhood in Auckland with her family in the suburb of Epsom and Mt Eden. Her family later relocated to Sydney Australia in 1997 where she spent the rest of her childhood and teenage years in Wahroonga, a quiet leafy suburb in Sydney's North Shore. Edana developed her passion for dramatic art and screen from a very young age performing and starting out with community theatre groups. She began training professionally as a drama student in Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) after graduating High School at the age of 16. Her training extends to a range of methods and techniques from Improvisation, Meisner, Stanislavski, Method and more modern techniques of less traditional nature. She studied at several local screen and acting schools in Sydney such as TAFTA and Screenwise and extended her training to Los Angeles for more industry awareness. Edana has also trained at the Margie Haber studio in West Hollywood. Her first encounter with Film was under the direction of John Duigan in 2010 as a Young Escort in Careless Love (2012). In taking training as a screen actor, she swiftly made the transition between theatre and screen, and is now focusing on more roles fit for Television and Film. Edana has been casted and selected in a series of national advertising and modeling campaigns for print and media. Edana is also a Writer, graduating from Macquarie University, Sydney with a Bachelor in Creative & Professional Writing. She is deeply fascinated with the areas of relationships, human connection, behavior and psychology and often showcases this within her work. Edana starred as the lead actress in her debut as Screen Writer in the film Isobel & the Pâtissier (2014).
