Joseph Benjamin began his career by taking on a role as an extra in the movie titled, "Crossroads" in 1995. Shortly after, he began to pursue a full-time career in modeling and acting for television commercials in the print ads industry of Nigeria. In 2002, Joseph Benjamin returned to the motion picture industry engaging himself in various roles, including those on television. Joseph has worked with some of the best talents in the Nollywood industry including Wale Adenuga (Producer of the hit television show "Super Story") and Royal Roots Productions. It was with Royal Roots productions that Joseph played a supporting role in one of the most successful family TV drama series "Edge of Paradise" under Africa's largest Cable TV Network Multichoice. While landing "Edge of Paradise" was a major highlight in Joseph's career, his journey to fame and stardom had only just begun. His quest to assert a presence in the entertainment industry led him to begin venturing into other dimensions. He took the role of the ("Banker") in the popular TV show ("Deal or No Deal"). While working on the show, his desire to express himself only intensified as his love for music began to develop. In addition to being an award-winning actor, Joseph is a songwriter and singer committed to serving the Lord with his voice. In 2006, Joseph auditioned for the hit show Idols, West Africa. His talent landed him the opportunity to be in the show's top 70 out of thousands of hopefuls. Still, on the quest to bless the world with his talents in both acting and music, Joseph joined a commercial band in Lagos (Rapture), as a lead vocalist. At the time, it was one of the most sought after brands within the state. Mr. Benjamin has also had a successful career as a voice-over artist. After being discovered by an advertising agency, he began the journey to becoming one of the most sought out voices for radio and TV Commercials. He has worked for brands such as (Coca-Cola, Heineken, Amstel Malta, Pepsi, MTN, GLO, Airtel, Etisalat, Samsung, Nokia, LG, Tekno, Multichoice, Stanbic Bank, Fist Bank, UBA to mention a few). Joseph soon learned that his voice-over and acting career would quickly be on the upward climb. In 2008, Joseph hit another major break when he landed a supporting role on hit drama series (Tinsel) for Mnet. In 2009, he landed the biggest break in his career when he became the host for the hit music reality show, ("Project Fame West Africa") the equivalent to American Idol. He has been hosting the show from 2009 to 2016. Since signing on as host of Project Fame, his career has taken a major leap. In 2015, he landed yet another major role on ABC Network's hit show (Desperate Housewives Africa) in his role as Chuka Obi. This saw him charting more ways for himself in the industry. He undoubtedly remains a force to be reckoned with. This has made him a constant choice for not only producers and directors but also the viewers. Soon after landing Desperate Housewives Africa, Joseph began receiving nominations for awards both locally and internationally. His fan base and love grew both locally and amongst Africans in the diaspora, helping him to establish a powerful brand. As one of the most sought-after actors in Nollywood, Joseph has a reputation of being a strong leading man and a heartthrob for the ladies. He most recently featured on one Episode of TNT Network's Show ClawS and also 2 episodes of the OWN Network's TV Series Green Leaf.
