Marcus Kyd is an actor, director, and musician, born in Washington, DC. He is a co-founder of Taffety Punk Theatre Company with Erin F. Mitchell, Lise Bruneau, Amanda MacKaye and Chris Marino. Stage credits include Arena Stage, The Kennedy Center, The Lincoln Center, The Folger Theatre, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Center Stage, Round House Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Metro Stage, Happenstance Theater, Nebraska Shakespeare Festival, Anti-Social Music's "The Nitrate Hymnal" (a mixed media opera); and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and many more. In the 90s and early 00s, he sang and played guitar in the The Most Secret Method. He earned a BFA in Acting from Emerson College in Boston, and an MFA in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company's Academy for Classical Acting at the George Washington University.
