Michael has just finished with his first novel "Tecate Peak", which should hit the bookstore shelves sometime early 2014. A romantic dramatic story about the rough and tumble life on the U.S. - Mexico border as it relates to a man who traveled 3000 miles to get away from his past, only to come face to face with more than he bargained for. Michael Joseph "Mic" Hudon (born September 26, 1961) is an actor, writer, and producer. He is also working as an Assistant Director and soon will give Directing a try. He has been in many great film shorts as well as full length feature films. Michael did theatre as well as commercials. Recently Michael has been an active SAG-AFTRA member in San Diego, CA. Michael's work as a voice actor was featured in the 2010 San Diego Film Festival's. "If I'm Trying, I'm Dying", a film by Jake Rose, as well as the 2012 National Film Challenge in "Permanent Vacation" by Steven Nair. Michael also had a hand in the San Diego Film Festival in 2011 where he took part in writing. producing, scoring and acting in "The Vision", a film by Steven Nair of Latitude 32 Films. Michael recently played a role in "Permanent Vacation". A film also by Steven Nair, that was entered into the 2012 National Film Challenge. In some of his films, he plays multiple roles in addition to his main character, intended as a tribute to his biggest entertainment idols Peter Sellers, who played multiple roles in Dr. Strangelove and elsewhere. Michael played multiple roles in his latest film "CaliCrazy Dreamin" (where he played the lead role plus his himself, Officer Mic, Partner Mic, and Crazy Mic). Michael was raised in the small town of Dover New Hampshire. Michael was raised by his guardian mother guardian father, after his father passed away when Michael was just 6 years of age. Around the age of 14, Michael was enrolled in Creative Writing and Film Studies at Dover, High School, and was writing and performing his own routines, which were heavily influenced by such great actors as Peter Sellers, Monty Python, as well as Peter Cook. Growing up, Michael was not at all interested in the business of acting. One day he was asked to be involved with a small group of theatre extras. This group would get paid to fill in the theatre seating when ticket sales were low, giving the presentation a "Full House" appearance. Of course Michael liked the fact that he was getting paid to sit around and do nothing for a couple of hours. But the characters on stage were telling stories that eventually Michael took notice. Michael decided to give it a try. His classes in high school were paying off. Michael had roles in "The Box" and "Happenstance." Michael also did some modeling for the local businesses throughout the Seacoast area in southern N.H and Maine, where he was involved in feature films that took place in the area. He was now very interested participating in a feature film, but never appeared in a credited role, which is a learning lesson for those background and extra actors. Nevertheless, Michael had now shown an interest in how films were made and how the actors performed on a movie set. Michael now had the "Acting Bug". Michael joined the US Army right out of high school and it would be years later that Michael would reunite himself with the allure of acting. In 2009, Michael, shortly after leaving the army, Michael met with a representative from Stu Segall Productions in San Diego, CA, which is where he decided to move to rather than going back to the harder ways of life in the east coast. He was told about a television series that will be filmed in San Diego, called "Terriers". The only roles that he was offered was background, and there again, no credits. But Michael had been bit by that old acting but again. He decided to take some acting classes, join the local union, and search for an agent. Michael wanted speaking roles that would allow him to express his abilities to act out a characters emotional state for all to see. Michael also lobbied his talents in Brando Unauthorized and Hotline. He had a small roll in "The Defenders" very first episode. Look for Michael to appear on the upcoming IFC's "Comedy Bang Bang". He also played a character role on HBO's "Luck" episode 8, as part of the "Clean Up Crew". A few committed guys that take care of the dirty work. Michael also recently ended up on CBS's "CSI Las Vegas" as a Security Guard searching for a murder suspect at the Morongo Casino. Michael has served as board member San Diego AFTRA - 2011 - 2012 Michael is very active in the San Diego community doing charitable work with such organizations as San Diego River Park Foundation, San Diego Habitat For Humanity, Giving Gardner's, Ronald McDonald House, Canyon Crusaders, San Diego Christian Film Festival and many more. He divides his time throughout each month in order to be an important part of the local community. Michael is an active member of the Serra Mesa Community Council. Michael gets involved with California Veteran's Place - Serves as a board member. Michael has many interests, but none capture his interest more that computer technology. He spends many days learning the "how to's" of website building, file formatting, and the many details of graphic arts. Michael in currently building a music digital library that begins in 1950, and will include as many artist throughout history to the present. Michael also enjoys the history of mankind. Michael has just graduated with a Associate of Applied Science in Construction Management and has also completed rigorous training to receive an Occupational Safety and Health Manager certification. In addition - Michael has taken up writing. He currently has completed a novel and is in the process of interviewing publishers.
