Peter Matuasilva was born on July 1, 1991 in London, United Kingdom. He is the fourth child out of a family with nine children from mother, Bamona Luzayamo, from the Democratic Republic of Congo and absent father, Roger Prince Matuasilva, who passed in 2009. Peter went to Ivydale Primary School in Nunhead, South East London and always had a love for the arts from a young age. In his secondary school, Walworth Secondary School, Peter decided to pursue music. During his time at Walworth he also took outside boxing classes. He continued his pursuit of music to his first year of college, where he studied Music Technology at Lewisham College. But after losing the desire to chase a career in music, Peter decided to go into theatre and acting at the age of 17. In his second year at Lewisham College he went on to do Stage Management. Because the Stage Management didn't involve much acting, Peter went on to do volunteering work in youth theaters and gained experience from youth theatre groups such as vInspired, SecondWave Youth Arts and Artefacts Edutainment, where he got casted for Hoods N Halos. During this time, Peter also applied and got accepted into Identity Drama School which also gave him much more knowledge on acting. Peter then went on to do a two year Performing Arts course at Lewisham College which he received a Triple Distiction grade, the highest grades one can obtain before going onto the three year BA Acting degree course at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. At Rose Bruford, Peter was stretched as an actor in his numerous roles at the drama school, roles such as Victor from Harold Pinter's One For The Road, where he was directed by Simon Usher. He also was stretched in his third year at the drama school with his role as The Aboriginal Australian in Timberlake Wertenbaker's Our Country's Good. The play was directed by Jane Bertish who gave Peter's character more stage time than the script suggested. Peter graduated from Rose Bruford in September 2014.
