Salim Khassa

Director, Writer, Producer, Salim Khassa grew up loved the nature of storytelling through cinema and longed to be a part of it. He was mesmerized the way his elders related their moral tales and humorous anecdotes, capturing their lessons and cataloging them all in his mind. He sensed early-on that these elements all combined to reflect the root nature of being Human. Salim was a keen observer of those who would connect with others through good story-telling and inspire people. Eventually, after watching thousands of these movies as a youngster that stirred his emotion and peaked his curiosity, he entered the wonderful world of capturing those emotions on the screen to deliver to the world-at-large. Arriving in the City-by-the-Bay, he enrolled in the University of the Arts Academy in San Francisco and worked side-by-side with filmmakers and assisted with great energy the editorial process also, collaborating on movies and video-making in all genres. His own thriller short was filmed in 2001, and Salim also filmed several documentaries. Moving to New York City, he established Look before you leap film productions, where things started to get serious at a high professional level, filming TV Shows and Feature Films, Salim's concentrated dedication to film-making is all-encompassing as he is involved in every single phase of production from script development to scouting, production design and all the way through to "post" editing, and even music. His final touches at each stage ensure his credo is fulfilled: "I can not and will not sleep until I'm certain that each part of the film-production has been done to the best that is capable of becoming." He later formed a Sales & Distribution arm that created vast opportunities in the entertainment business world. Creating the global Company, lbyl films & Distributions, Mr. Khassa now connects the highly successful Bollywood movie world of India to the Hollywood establishment.
