Angela Dirksen

Angela is an American actress and singer born in Thousand Oaks, California to Linda and Bradley Dirksen. Raised in Arizona, she started her career in musical theatre. Trained at Stephens College in both performance and direction, she graduated and immediately started working and touring the US. She moved to New York in 2003 and continued to appear in productions throughout New York City and Regionally. Specializing in all thing comedy, Angela originated roles Off Broadway and appeared in the New York premier of Christopher Durang's Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge featured on the front page of the NYTimes Arts section. She wrote, produced and starred in her first one woman show Imperfect and performed in the historic Duplex in the West Village. Angela was featured in BroadwayWorld's Shining New Lights of Cabaret to wonderful reviews. In 2014, Angela packed up her home in NYC, put herself and her pup Louise on a plane and moved to Los Angeles. Angela dove right into the LA stand up scene where she quickly started performing in clubs around town, including The World Famous Comedy Store and Flappers. Angela lives in Los Angeles writing, performing and perfecting her craft.
