Screenwriter & multi-platform producer, Ramón Govea originally returned to his place of birth, Los Angeles to establish a career in writing. He founded Black Mast Studios in 2010 to learn the ropes as a filmmaker. He cut his teeth writing and producing short form content for MCN YouTube channels like Machinima and Stan Lee's World of Heroes. Known for his strong spiritual practice and interest in archaeology and anthropology, he produced Ancient Tomorrow (2016), a feature documentary filmed largely in the Andes region of South America, spotlighting the legacy of inventor Nikola Tesla. His unique research of ancient civilizations combined with his marketing expertise helped him build several social media tribes comprised of over 500,000 "armchair archaeologists," producing interviews with world renowned explorers and researchers in the field. Ramon pivoted to comic books and video games creating the diversity-driven, superhero title Incidentals for Lion Forge Comics. His work on Scopely's The Walking Dead: Road to Survival motivated him to establish Myth Division, an IP development studio based in Los Angeles. He went on to become Chief Content officer for two time NBA All-Star Baron Davis's entertainment company, where he oversaw the launch of animated content for the Black Santa brand. He has since used Kickstarter to crowdfund and self-publish eight comic books, several of which have larger multi-platform projects in development. His entrepreneurial experience and "boot-strap" perseverance have made him a entertainment & tech entrepreneur focused on forging a lasting place in the expanding multi-platform, digital content landscape.
