Jaleesa Capri is a Brooklyn, NY native and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Howard University; where she received her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts-Acting. This versatile stage and film actress has been in productions such as the hit CBS show Blue Bloods and Beneatha in A Raisin in the Sun and was immortalized in The Legacy Museum as a hologram (re-enacting a slave narrative). Jaleesa has also played lead roles in staged readings at places such as The Kennedy Center, Billie Holiday Theater and the Nuyorican Poets Café. She is very thankful for having been taught by notables such Al Freeman Jr.; as well as training institutions such as the British-American Drama Academy in Oxford, England; that have and are continuing to hone her artistry. She strives to be the kind of actor and producer that makes a difference on & off the stage, in efforts to effectuate universal help and change. (IG @JaleesaCapri)
