Stacy Bee's film career began in Mumbai, India with her leading role in the Marathi film "Mala Aai Vhhaychy!" (I Want To Be A Mother!). Bee stars as Mary, an American model who travels to India in hopes of finding a surrogate mother for her child. "Mala Aai Vhhaychy!" premiered at the Plaza Theatre in Mumbai in February 2011. Bee won Best First Time Actress at the Jaipur International Film Festival in January 2011. "Mala Aai Vhhaychy!" was nominated for the most honorable awards of the Maharashtra state government in categories of Best Director, Best Story, Best Picture, Best Singer and Best Special Actress. The film won awards for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Special Actress in the 2011 Maharashtra State Awards. "Mala Aai Vhhaychy!" will make its U.S. premier at the Twin Cities Film Festival in Minnesota in September 2011. Bee is a business executive in her professional life and president of ESBEE Public Relations and Marketing. Founded by Bee in 2004, ESBEE specializes in luxury products, social media, crisis communication and consumer launches. Bee has experience working with large corporations such as Xcel Energy, Medica and other union health organizations in the United States. Additionally, Bee has a niche with small to mid-size entrepreneurial clients. As a business woman, Bee has won numerous awards including the American Business Journal's 40 Under Forty in 2010. Currently, Bee is taking ESBEE abroad by launching business services globally in India. Bee is continuously active in nonprofit work and firmly believes in giving back to her community. Bee is currently on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters, AadiPath Foundation and Research Centre, FairVote Minnesota, International Children's Heart Foundation and Pathways for Children. She was the 2004 festival chair for the St. Paul Winter Carnival and oversaw the creation of the Ice Palace. Additionally, Bee founded and co-chaired the St. Paul/Manzanillo Mexico Sister City Program which connected Minnesota companies with international partners and market opportunities.
