Yann-Manuel Hernandez

Yann-Manuel Hernandez is a Canadian cinematographer and director from Montreal (Quebec), known for Desert Cry (2016), Lucioles (2013) and various video clips. He studied the work of Philippe Grandrieux during his Master at the University of Montreal. He co-directed his first feature film in 2015 with a grant from Telefilm Canada. Deserts Cry opened the section ''New alchemists'' at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma in 2016. In the last years, he did the cinematography for different video artists and filmmakers (Candice Breitz & Charles-André Coderre).
