Antonello Novellino

Born in Cava De 'Tirreni (1981) Antonello lives in Madrid, is producer and director of independent films and shorts, is also involved in television directing, shooting and editing video for international television broadcasts and commercials and institutional videos. He graduated in anthropology at the Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis «The relationship between cinema and culture: Spain 1997-2007.» He participated in workshops and courses with filmmakers and film industry professionals, such as Kiarostami, Cecchi D'Amico, Escalle, Storaro, Ferrara, Age, Monicelli, Pontecorvo, Eco, Zuazua and others. His first film as director, Blue Lips, is in post-production stage and he works on the program of the Mexican TV Canal 10 Chiapanecos Por El Mundo. He received a «Knighthood of Youth» from the Province of Salerno (Italy) to the merits for audiovisual activity. His short films and movies were screened in hundreds of festivals in different countries (such as the USA, Chile, Peru, Australia, India, China). His works as producer and director have received about three hundred awards and acknowledgments, some of them received by celebrities such as Francis Ford Coppola, Rutger Hauer, Asia Argento, Enrico Lo Verso, Alejandro Jodorowsky.
