“Films produce like gnoseological awakenings, an identification with certain characters that one finds them similar to oneself and face situations that take us back to our own experience.”
Agustín Falco Vázquez is an Argentine film director, born in Santa Fe. His childhood was spent in a theatrical environment, as his parents worked in that field and he began to approach art. During his adolescence, he began to experiment with a Panasonic 8000 camera that belonged to his father, and together with his friends, they invented stories and recorded them. He also explored writing, but put it all aside to focus on sports. Some time later, while studying philosophy, he attended a film workshop at the University, directed by Raúl Beceyro, and there he made his first short film. He graduated some time later from the Instituto Superior de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales de Santa Fe (ISCAA). Throughout his career, he has worked on recognized productions such as Fábula (2012), Habitación 13 (2015), Cauce (2017), Animalia (2020) and La Marcha (2020). In addition to being a director he is also a teacher, and one of the most recognized in the region. He is also a teacher and one of the most recognized directors in his province, always betting on the talent of regional technicians and highlighting the Santa Fe identity in his productions.
