Jonnae Thompson

Jonnae Thompson was born and raised in San Diego, California. She is the daughter of a pastor and grew up singing in the church choir. Jonnae went on to study theater throughout high school and college. Her career in stand-up comedy began at California State University, Northridge - after placing 2nd in a national competition she entered as a novice, on a whim. Since her accidental comedy debut, she has written and produced her own comedy shows. Jonnae believes life is full of humor. From socioeconomic conditions to body image obsession; she speaks from personal experience about real issues faced by real people. Jonnae offers a voice of empowerment, healing through comedy and music. In 2013, moved back home with a spark for music reignited and began to tap into her ability to capture an audience through song. Jonnae's soulful vocals have gained her a fan base throughout San Diego; you can catch her at various locations throughout the year. Matched with her quick wit, Jonnae aspires to take you to a world reminiscent of the legendary Pearl Bailey.
