Bill Gold resides in New York City. He was born and raised in Paterson,,NJ. He obtained a BA in Art History from Rutgers University and then served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malaysia 1969- 72. He was named a Defense Dept. Fellow in 1974 and received an MA in Cultural Anthropology from University of Wisconsin. Bill's first love was always acting and he began to pursue this passion in 1978, performing in theater, film and TV in NYC. He left the business in 1987 and worked as a Program Officer in the U.S. Dept. of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, stationed in NYC. He retired from government service in 2015, dusted off his resume and picked up his acting career where he left off. He has done several short films and has even garnered a Best Lead Actor commendation for his performance as Jack in Remnant - an NYU entry in its New Visions and Voices Festival.
