Marta Borges is a professional actress since 2001. After attempting to pursue a "normal" career, taking a degree in Business Communication and working several years in Lisbon, Paris, Brussels, Rio de Janeiro and London in advertising, branding and PR companies such as MullenLowe Lintas Group and Wolff Olins (coordinating international teams and projects), her heart led her to follow her great secret desire: acting. After completing her studies in Drama, being trained in Portugal and abroad and years of experience in professional Theater companies, Marta crossed paths with Improvisational Theater and it was love at first sight. Proudly became the first Portuguese female improviser since 2009. Co-founded the successful Portuguese ensemble Os Improváveis, a reference in the European improvisation scene, counting around 950 stage presentations and 97.000 spectators. The group has 10 shows regularly on stage, did more than 30 international tours and work with 80 Corporate Clients. She's been traveling around the world teaching, being taught and performing in International Festivals and Theater Schools, such as Impro Amsterdam, Berlin Impro Festival, DIG Stockholm Festival, Impro Salento, Piombino Festival, Teatribú Milan, Firenze LongForm School, Cambiscena Padova, ICR Riga Latvia, FESTLIP in Rio de Janeiro, Agorapp Italy, Subito Brest, etc. Marta also works as a Television and Cinema actress, scripted Theater, Voice actress, Radio, hosts big events and she is a regular Business Improv Corporate Trainer, working with more than 80 Corporate national and international Clients. Marta also teaches weekly Improvisation courses in Lisbon. As an instructor as well as a performer, she focuses on vulnerability, emotional, raw and real choices to connect with scene partners and the audience. She is a native Portuguese and speaks fluently English, very good French and Spanish. She understands Italian.
