Born and raised in California, Christopher DeSouza has always been passionate about acting. At a young age, he was inspired by actors in movies which lead him to pursue his passion. When he's not acting, he's working with Deaf children at the California School for the Deaf in Fremont, CA. Chris became Deaf at the age of 4, and since then has developed several ways of communicating through ASL, lip reading and even some vocals. Chris enjoys traveling and living life to the fullest. He also works on his own projects with hopes of entertaining and inspiring people. Chris has been cast in a variety of roles from stage to film productions. He's worked with John Hall Kovacs' Production Rathskellar, National Theater of the Deaf, and Deaf West's Production's Big River directed by Jeff Calhoun and Coy Middlebrook. From time to time, Chris makes an appearance in web projects such as Deaf Performing Artist Network music video: Beautiful and Read My Lips by Little Moving Pictures. In the past, with Indigo Films, Chris had his first role on the television show Campus Nightmares on Lifetime Movie Channel as the role of a wrongly accused murderer suspect. Most recently, Chris played in Shaan Couture's short film entitled "Thin Lines" in which he portrays a young Deaf man who meets a troubled French-American girl and whose relationship turns into a romance. The film will be ready for the festival circuit in September 2016.
